The Image to Prompt API analyzes a photo and returns a detailed, accurate text prompt that describes it. Use it to understand an image’s composition and style, or to generate a prompt you can feed directly into the Photo Generation and Group Photo endpoints. The call is synchronous and returns immediately. No credits are deducted — this is a free utility endpoint.
Rate limit: 10 requests per minute per account.

Two modes

Standalone mode

Analyzes a single image and returns a prompt with a <image1> reference tag. Best for landscapes, scenes, portraits, and any image with one subject.
Returns:

Reference mode

Analyzes a group scene and injects per-person <imageN> placeholders based on the number of people and their genders. Use this when you want to take a group photo scene and drop your own subjects into it — the output prompt is ready to pass to the Group Photo or Recreate Group endpoints.
Returns:

Step 1 — Analyze the image

Request fields

Step 2 — Read the response

The prompt field is a ready-to-use string. Pass it directly to any generation endpoint.

Step 3 — Use the prompt in a generation

The returned prompt is designed to drop straight into a generation call. Here is a complete flow — analyze a reference scene, then generate a group photo using the returned prompt:
