Overview

The Job Status endpoint lets you look up the current state of any GoStudio generation job by its encoded ID. It works across all tools — watermark remover, age modifier, headshot photo, group photo, and more. You only need this endpoint in two situations:
  1. The connection dropped during a generation call and you didn’t receive the response.
  2. You want to re-fetch output URLs from a job that completed earlier.
For normal integrations, the primary generation endpoint (e.g. POST /api/v2/apps/watermark-remover) already waits for the result and returns it directly — you don’t need to poll separately.

The job_id

Every generation response includes a job_id field. This is a UUID-encoded opaque string, not a raw integer — for example:
Pass this value directly as the path parameter. Do not construct or modify it.

Ownership

user callers can only retrieve jobs they own. If you request a job that belongs to a different user, the endpoint returns 404 job_not_found rather than a 403, to avoid leaking job existence.

Rate limit

30 requests per minute per caller. If you need to poll actively, use a 3-second interval with a 4-minute timeout — matching the same values recommended for async watermark jobs.
